We’ve heard that a number of Illowa Irregulars and other regional cowboys/cowgirls are planning to escape the late winter and head south to attend Hell on the Border, the Arkansas 2021 SASS State Championship, scheduled for Thursday – Saturday, March 18, 19, and 20. This post is to let you know of a very special opportunity to get in one more day of shooting on Sunday, March 21st before heading back north.
The Bear Creek Volunteers have organized a special match on Sunday, March 21st titled “Return from Hell on the Border – Welcome to Bear Creek.” The Bear Creek range is located about 15 miles north of Branson, MO. To put it in another perspective, Bear Creek is located about 2 ½ to 3 hours north of Fort Smith, AR and is on or near the route many of us will be taking home.
The Bear Creek range offers covered stages on a boardwalk, is located in a valley with a creek running alongside, and offers a variety of targets which makes for fun and interesting shooting.
While there is no advance registration required, the Volunteers request that you confirm your attendance for food planning purposes by either:
- Contacting Louise McCollough via email (by clicking on her name), or by calling 417.849.1877; or
- Emailing Illowa Irregulars’ Count Sandor who will forward your information to Louise.
From what Irregulars who’ve attended other Bear Creek Volunteers’ matches have said, you won’t be disappointed in the food, the hospitality, or the range.
