To Our (reasonably) Local Cowboys and Cowgirls;
Just a brief message about a few important club activities. First, some key dates which are approaching fast.
April 2nd: Our first Cowboy Practice of the season will be held from 10:00 a.m. to Noon.
Practices are scheduled at 1:00 p.m. each Wednesday and 10:00 a.m. each Friday for the rest of the season (see discussion below).
April 3rd: We are having a Range Cleanup Day on April 3rd from 9:00 a.m. to Noon.
Please come out and help if you are able to do so. Bring work gloves.
April 17th: We are hosting a New Shooters Clinic on April 17th beginning at 10:30 a.m.
Spread the word. This is a good opportunity to introduce Cowboy Action Shooting to others who may be interested in the sport. We will also be setting up for the next day’s monthly match at 9:00 a.m. that morning.
April 18th: Our first monthly match of the year!
Registration opens at 8:00 a.m.; Safety Meeting at 9:15 a.m. We will be shooting 6 stages this match AND introducing a .22 Open Category for both men and women who want/need to conserve their other ammo.
Practice: We’re still planning to hold two practices each week, one on Wednesday’s at 1:00 p.m. and the other on Friday’s at 10:00 a.m. Historically, we’ve shot four stages at one practice and five at the other. We’ll see how this goes given the ammo shortage. Come out and shoot if you wish, even if you want to pare back on the amount you shoot during the practice. No hard/fast rules. We call it “practice” for a reason. We’ll adjust as we need to through the year, and will communicate any changes to you via email and the website. For now, we’ll be sticking with the published schedule.
