The SASS 2022 Illinois State Championship begins just a short 17 weeks from tomorrow, and what a match it is shaping up to be. Here are a few interesting facts:
- 131 Registered shooters so far, with more coming in each week;
- We’ve cowboys/cowgirls from 13 different states registered including, Illinois, Alabama, Iowa, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, South Carolina, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
- Three 2022 EOT World Champions are registered for the Illinois State Championship so far. Congratulations to our new World Champions Turkey Legs, Silver Spurs Charlie, and Scarlett Darlin’!
- Additionally, nine other shooters who finished in the Top 10 of their categories at EOT 2022 are registered – Hail Hot Mary, Stormy Roads, Cowboy Rick, Special K, Medicine Creek Johnny, Owl Eye Olga, Dimpled Darlin, Blue Eyed Drifter, and Deadwood Kitty, with five other shooters who were in the Top 15 of their categories – Dry Fire, Chili Pepper Kid, Flyin Shootist, Toranado, Whiskey Rick.

All in all, the SASS 2022 Illinois State Championship is shaping up to be an outstanding match, with an outstanding array of cowboys and cowgirls representing some of the best SASS has to offer.
