50 days and counting down! It won’t be long before the canons announce the opening of the 2026 Illinois State Cowboy Action and Wild Bunch Shooting Championships begin.
- Wild Bunch State Championship runs from Wednesday July 15 to Thursday July 16.
- Side and Warmup matches are scheduled on Friday July 17
- Cowboy Action State Championship runs from Saturday July 18 to Sunday July 19, followed by an Awards Banquet in an air-conditioned banquet hall.
Additional activities include an optional Saturday evening Riverboat Dinner Cruise on the Mississippi River and a free Friday night pizza party. More information in the links below.
And of course, all of this is held in our beautiful, shaded cowboy town. Oh, and one more thing – this is NOT a lost brass match – you’ll get back about as many casings as you shoot!
